Spare seat request
If your child lives inside the eligibility distance but you would still like them to use the school bus, you can apply for a spare seat. Spare seats are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and are not guaranteed.
How it works
Submit a request using the form and EasyBus will review it against the current bus capacity.
If a seat is available, your child will be added to the bus. You will be notified of the outcome by email.
Spare seats can be withdrawn at any time if the bus becomes full with eligible students. In that case, you will need to arrange alternative transport.
Eligibility distances
Students who live inside these distances are not entitled to free transport but may apply for a spare seat:
< 3.2km
Year 1–8
< 4.8km
Year 9–13
Already eligible? If your child lives beyond the eligibility distance, you don't need to apply for a spare seat — they are entitled to free transport. Check the routes page to find your bus.
